We decided to go to Burley Idaho to see our good friends Joe and Kim and their family. Cory had a job on Friday night so we left Saturday morning. It is about a 2 1/2 hour drive from SLC. Jax did really good on his first road trip, he got a little tired of it with about a 1/2 hour to go. Thank goodness for treats! When we got there we watched the Utah vs. Michigan game and let the kids play. Kim and I had a "crafty" moment. We painted these really cute wood letters that said "Fall". It was soo nice to just relax and hang out. Sunday we drove into Twin Falls which is about 1/2 hour away from Burley. We played at a park that was by the Snake River, and went by the temple that was just dedicated last week. Monday we got up and got dressed and packed up. Jax had such a good time playing with his friends Carson, Landon, and Abby.
I called Kim earlier in the week, and she told me how excited the kids were for Jax to come, Carson and Landon had set up there train set, and had gotten their sleeping bags so they could all sleep on the floor. Maybe next year!
Thanks to the Noble's for being such great friends! We can't wait for our next "white trash" event!
